ODORIZATION SYSTEM

Packaging Liquefied Gas

  • Loading bays for Liquefied Gas - LPG

Overview

- Possibility of multiple pumps on multiple configurations.
- Proportional to the LPG flow rate or to the charging time.
- Injection feedback of the pump in the control room.

- Pump failure alarm, low level of tank.
- Automatic replace of the headline pump by the stand-by pump.
- Optional: Complete access to configuration and remote control under ModBus protocol by RS232 or RS485 port.

The odorizers Injection systems for Liquefied Gas (LPG) have the same characteristics as the Natural Gas Systems odorizer.

Alternatives Automation

- The first one odorize proportionally the LPG flow rate, the other has a solenoid valve that starts the equipment when turns on the charge pump of LPG and stops the equipment when the charging is complete.

- For the Alternatives which are proportional to the LPG flow rate we have a series of automatic controllers, which the principal function is odorize in proportional way to signals like: 1-5V, 4-20ma, pulses, frequencies. These controllers are capable of replace the headline pump by the Stand-by pump in a case of failure.

In the automatic equipments which work together with the charging pump of LPG, the injection flow rate is fixed, and can be manually regulated through the regulation screw or regulating the injection pulse of the pumps. The automatization allows the system to start to odorize when start the bach, and the equipment stop when the bach does it.

This equipment can have multiple pumps of a huge variety of configurations, for example, the system can have 4 pumps and one stand-by pump, or well can have 4 pumps with 4 stand-by pumps. The quantity of pumps is given by the quantity of the injection points which are required, one pump can inject in one point.
Depending of the configuration of the systems, determines the FL controller which will be used.

Default module

For the odorizer equipments of LPG, by the Experience of Mirbla in the market, web design, like optional, a predetermined module which principal characteristics are described below:

In this module is determined the charging time of truck, the odorization time, and the intervals scheduled by the client.

- For the charging of a truck in an LPG island which lasts 45 minutes: The presetting device let pass 5 minute without odorize the LPG. Then odorize along 30 minutes (enters total volume of odorant). And the missing charge, let pass LPG without odorize, 10 minutes.

- If the system detects any failure in the pump, automatically the controller sends an alarm and turn on the standby pump.

- If the provision of LPG is interrupted during the odorization, the MPV automatically stops the controller, following that, if the LPG provision starts again, the odorization is restored till the programmed quantity. According to the equipment characteristics there isn’t need to allocate operator time.
Thanks to this functionality is solved the problem caused by strong odor of odorant, which stay in the middle of the working area, because the LPG drags all the odorant in the intervals in which the odorizing system waits.

Mounting Accessories

These teams are mounted on metal structures profile carbon steel (stainless steel on request), and within these structures different system components are housed.
