ODORIZATION SYSTEM

Natural Gas Pipeline

  • Odorizers pumps under API 675 standards

Overview

- Automatics, Proportional to the flow rate.
- Automatics, Proportional to the time.
- Metering pumps under API Standards.
- In equipments with 2 pumps, the standby pump replaces the headline pump automatically.

- It Includes odorant reservoir suitable for transfer, with level indicator.
- With calibration pot for the pumps.
- Equipped with auxiliary command for power outage.

- Remote communication under ModBus Protocol.
- Applicable to odorize pipelines with low flow rate or odorization backing.

To give a complete spectrum of odorize systems for natural gas, we offer 4 alternatives of control:
FL 50, FL 150, FL 250, and for last one FL 500; and 2 alternatives of pumps which are diver piston Lu series and hydraulic diaphragm from MMX series. Being adopted for the great majority of the gas distributors, MMX series by it high performance and advantages. All equipments count with an auxiliary mode of pulse control to guarantee the odorization in a case of power outage.

Comparative advantages of our odorizer systems

- Our pumps, mounted in the equipments, are designed and fabricated under the API standards, both the MMX Series as LU Series. The pumps allow regulate the volume per stroke from 0% till 100% of its capacity, without necessity of employ additional tools.
- Incorporates inside the cabinet a calibration pot, graduated in Cubic centimeters, to verify the volume of odorant injected by the pump.
- The control system has a keyboard-display interface which allows input the operational data by the user in simple way, and gives all information of the operational data of the equipment in phrases, in Spanish or Portuguese. The wished concentration of odorant is entered in mg/m3.
- Presents 3 modes of function:
1º Proportional to the flow rate.
2º Proportional to the electric time.
3º Proportional to the pneumatic time (This last one should be manually activated by the operator by low battery voltage, in case of energy outage).

Odorization systems with only one pump

- 1 headline pump.
- Proportional to the flow rate.
- Proportional to the electric time.
- Failure pump Alarm.
- It Includes odorant reservoir suitable for transfer, with level indicator.
- Solar panel.

These equipments have only one pump, the principal control is the FL 150, and the principal function is odorize proportionally to gas flow signal, in a case of pump failure emits an alarm signal which later can be canalized to a control room for monitoring. Equips which includes the FL 50 controller keeps the same functions but doesn't give failure pump alarm.
Count with a calibration pot for the pump, emergency auxiliary command, injection sensor and presents several alternatives of odorant deposits. These equipments come with an injection nozzle, useful for perform the injection in center of the pipeline of the process.
This odorization system by injection it's mounted in a metallic structure and a cabinet containing the pump, the calibration pot, the MKII command, the injection sensor and a valves panel. Also includes a collector tray of little leaks, constructed in AISI 304.

Odorization Systems with 2 pumps

- 1 headline pump + 1 Stand-by pump.
- Proportional to the flow rate.
- Proportional to the electric time.
- Failure pump Alarm.
- Automatically replaces headline pump by the Stand-by pump.
- It Includes odorant reservoir suitable for transfer, with level indicator.
- Solar panel.

These equip count with a headline pump and a Stand-by pump, the principal controller is the FL 250, and the principal function is odorizing proportionally to gas flow signal. In case of pump failure is replaced for the stand-by pump and emits an alarm signal which can be canalized to the control room for monitoring.
Count with a calibration pot for the pumps, emergency auxiliary command, and injection sensor and presents several alternatives of odorant deposits. These deposits can include an alarm by dry contact for under level of odorant.

Odorizing systems with remote communication

- 1 headline pump (Simple), or 1 headline pump + 1 Stand-by pump (Double).
- Proportional to the flow rate.
- Proportional to the electric time.
- Change in operation mode: Manual - Automatic - Stop.
- Failure pump Alarm.
- Remote Communication, Reading / Writing.
- Complete Access to distance configuration under ModBus protocol.
- Automatically replaces headline pump by the Stand-by pump.
- It Includes odorant reservoir suitable for transfer, with level indicator.
- Solar panel.

These equipments were developed for being controlled locally and remotely, thanks to the functionality of the FL 500 controller, these systems allow to be configured for work with one pump or with 2 pumps. Reading / Writing can be performed through a remote communication under ModBus protocol, in RS232 port for RS485 port. The extractible memory DL40 allows stocking a history of data to be downloaded in a computer.
Count with an instant flowmeter (MCI), emergency auxiliary command, and injection sensor and presents several alternatives of odorant deposits. These deposits can include an alarm by dry contact for under level of odorant. This odorization system by injection it's mounted in a metallic structure and a cabinet containing the pump, the calibration pot, the MKII command, the injection sensor and a valves panel. Also includes a collector tray of little leaks, constructed in AISI 304.
